Here is the FII sheet updated till the close of Friday’s session
They finished the week again as net buyers in cash making it 5 days in a row they have been net buyers since the fall from 63xx levels.
Since the 18th when we crossed over that 6085 level we have been tracking on spot, the net purchases in new index futures are 22686 contracts of which 11265 contracts were added on friday.
From the 18th the short addition in index Futures has been inconsistent and only 666 contracts have been shorted from the 18th. However the overall short picture for FEB is still 32692 shorts.
It was our belief earlier in the series that most of these shorts are in BankNifty Futures and we feel that they will be covered in the week to come.
The option picture from Friday in that sheet has a bullish undertone with 11565 long calls added, 6683 short puts added and 680 long puts closed as well as 1183 short calls added.
Stock futures were even with 9148 new longs and 8820 new shorts
