Mid-week view
FIIs have added 34K long Index Futures, 20K long Index CE and net 2K long Index PE contracts this week besides covering 3K short Index Futures and 9K short Index CE contracts and reducing exposure in Stocks Futures. They are net long once again in Index Futures. FIIs have been net buyers this week in equity segment for ₹4381 crore.
Clients have added 28K short Index Futures, 2K short Index CE, net 89K long Index PE and 3K long Stocks Futures contracts this week while liquidating 16K long Index Futures, 35K long Index CE contracts and covering 22K short Stocks Futures contracts.
Nifty MAY shed 15116 contracts today while JUN/JUL Open Interest went up by 43837 contracts. Banknifty MAY shed 28465 contracts with only 25223 contracts addition in JUN/JUL OI.
