From the conversation
“I do not predict where markets will go. I read what participants are doing right now.”
On the derivatives-driven market
NSE has been the world's largest derivatives exchange by contracts traded since 2019. Price and volume alone stopped being a complete read years ago — options positioning, open interest, expiry behaviour and order flow all shape how price moves intraday. The market is still an auction; the derivatives layer has made it faster and more sensitive to positioning.
On AI
AI on a trading desk processes data, scans patterns, summarises conditions, and reduces workload. It has not once told Shai where value will be accepted. Tools improve the desk. They do not replace the trader.
On noise versus information
Noise moves price without changing structure; meaningful information changes acceptance, value, or participation. A fast move is not automatically meaningful — the structure after the move tells the real story.
